Program description:

Water!

A plane crashes in the desert. It’s essential to find water, repair the plane, and get back home. Without water, strength wanes, and the mind starts to hallucinate. Strange figures, animals, and objects begin to appear in the endless scorching sand. The pilot’s desires, dreams, and fears. A sweet illusion that is easy to succumb to. A sticky feeling of dryness is felt on the palate. Water! He must not give in to the confused senses. He must find water! There is no other way. Or is there?

Damúza was founded in 1999 by students of DAMU (The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague).

Today, Damúza serves as a production unit supporting emerging theatre performers and ambitious projects by students and recent graduates of DAMU. Their focus lies in original productions, particularly in puppetry, art, and object theatre for both children and adults.

They provide young, aspiring artists with opportunities to realize their own theatre projects and gain field experience. Additionally, they offer professional artists the freedom for independent work, creativity, and opportunities for experimentation and self-expression.

The core of their repertoire consists of puppet performances for families with children, where their young audience becomes their equal partners. Their aim is to ensure that parents enjoy spending time with their children at the theatre.
