Details:

Opening of the exhibition ROMANIAN TALES, PUCK Pupet Theatre, Romania (children and adults) ,

Romanian Tales is a collection of puppets made by some of the most emblematic characters found in Romanian literature and brought to life on stage throughout the history of the Puck Puppet Theatre: Aleodor the Emperor, the goat with her three kids, the foolish bear and the crafty fox, and so on. It is a way to honor great authors, scenographers, actors, musicians, costume designers and directors that have been so important for Romanian culture, each of their works being a precious step ahead. Moreover, 2018 is the year of Romania’s Great Union, marking 100 years since the unification of Transylvania, but also of the provinces of Bessarabia and Bukovina with the Romanian Kingdom, in 1918. Therefore, we think that one of the best ways to celebrate it is by promoting Romanian cultural values and specificities. By doing so, we also initiate an intercultural dialogue, encouraging people to value their own culture, to find similarities between different cultures across the world and to appreciate their own stories, artists and works.
